Attention All Mod-Loving Design Enthusiasts!

Abraham Palatnik, Ram, lucite, ca. 1960

Brazilian artist, Abraham Palatnik’s lucite creatures range from the exotic to the domesticated. Re-imagined with stylized silhouettes and graphic prints, Palatnik’s small sculptures from the 60’s have recently become highly-coveted once again. American designers, like Jonathan Adler, have rediscovered his work, sparking a new obsession. While figurines can be spotted from time to time in online shops like Etsy and 1st Dibs, they sell quickly and range anywhere from $250-$1,200, depending on the size, intricacy and popularity of the animal.

4th Meridian is excited to offer Palatnik’s Ram in our upcoming auction. Small and simple, modern and graphic, this artwork checks a lot of boxes for a lot of people.
